I am a UKCP accredited registered member. I hold a Masters degree and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Minster Centre, London, (Middlesex University).
I am also a clinical supervisor and hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision from the Minster Centre. Please visit my BACP directory profile for further details.
During my training to become a counselor and psychotherapist, I worked for a big youth charity based in South London as a therapist with young adults and their families. I then began working as a counsellor at a service for survivors of domestic abuse, to then working as an honorary psychotherapist at South London and Maudsley based at University London Lewisham.
I have gained a strong focus on working with difference and diversity, committing to developing an anti-oppressive practice, and I welcome people from all walks of life and intersections. I also work from a social justice perspective, taking into consideration how the societal structure of the individual may influence their mental health and well-being. I am aware that I continue to learn in all areas, and I trust that I grow my allyship as I progress my work and personal development in all areas. Members of the LGBTQ+ community are welcome in my work.
I have worked with clients from different backgrounds and I have gained in the last 20 years a lot of expertise in working with trauma, in all its facets.
At present, I am also a teacher at the Minster Centre, London, on Physical Disability and Ableism when working therapeutically. I am a member of a group of other professionals, discussing on Visible and non Visable disabilities in therapy.
